JFK’s grandson Jack Schlossberg, 32, looks heartbroken as he attends sister Tatiana’s funeral after she died of cancer aged just 35, with Joe Biden seen crying

Grief surrounded the Kennedy family as they gathered in Manhattan to say goodbye to Tatiana Schlossberg, who died of leukemia at just 35. The funeral was held at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola.

Her younger brother, Jack Schlossberg, appeared visibly heartbroken as he arrived with their mother, Caroline Kennedy, their father, Edwin Schlossberg, and sister Rose.

The service drew close friends and prominent figures. President Joe Biden attended and was seen in tears outside the church, reflecting his own loss of a son to cancer.

Other mourners included David Letterman, John Kerry, and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, underscoring the wide reach of Tatiana’s life and work.

Tatiana’s husband, George Moran, attended with their two young children, Josephine and Edwin. Her death came just six weeks after she publicly revealed her diagnosis.

An environmental journalist and author, Tatiana wrote candidly about learning she had acute myeloid leukemia after routine blood tests following the birth of her second child.

In her essays, she described the shock of being gravely ill while feeling healthy, and her wish to shield her family—especially her mother—from further pain.

After her passing, Jack honored her on Instagram with poetry, family photos, and excerpts from her book Inconspicuous Consumption, celebrating a legacy rooted in purpose, compassion, and environmental responsibility.
