MY 4-YEAR-OLD SON GOT EXTREMELY UPSET EVERY TIME MY MIL BABYSAT HIM — WHEN I FOUND OUT WHY, I GOT REVENGE.

I noticed that my 4-year-old son became anxious every time my mother-in-law was supposed to come over to watch him. One evening, he started crying and blurted out through his tears, “I don’t want Grandma to stay with me!” I was shocked and had to rush to the hospital for my shift, so I didn’t have time to find a replacement, but his reaction really worried me. “But why, sweetie?” I asked. “Because… Because Grandma acts strange,” he said through his tears. “What do you mean?” But at that moment, my mother-in-law walked in, and my son ran upstairs. I had an imperfect, but relatively calm relationship with my mother-in-law. She was nearby and always happy to watch her only grandson, so my son’s reaction puzzled me.
