The search for Nancy Guthrie, the mother of TODAY co-host Savannah Guthrie, has now entered its 11th day. Authorities had reportedly been investigating possible leads related to her unexplained disappearance.

Despite suspicions that Palazuelos may have been connected to the case, he was ultimately released without charge. Officials have not announced any formal accusations against him.

Palazuelos has denied any involvement. He told investigators he had never heard of Nancy Guthrie or her daughter Savannah and said he does not follow the news.

Speaking to reporters outside his Arizona home after his release, Palazuelos claimed he was held against his will. He also alleged that officers did not read him his rights until two hours after his detention began.
